Peter Love is the Principal solicitor of Hartleys Lawyers.

Peter has a broad based education covering business / commerce, law, and arts. Initially,  he obtained Bachelor degrees in Law from University of New England, Commerce from Monash University, and  Arts with majors in Politics from Deakin University.  After undergraduate studies, Peter undertook post graduate studies in Industrial and Employee Relations from Monash University and in Legal Practice from the Australian National University.

Peter started his career as a solicitor advocate in country Victoria, undertaking appearance in the local Magistrates Court, and the circuits of the Family Court. He also appeared in the newly formed Federal Magistates Court at the time. Peter returned to Melbourne, and established a practice in his hometown suburb of Deer Park. Peter’s role has changed to be one of the supervisor to ensure the quality of the represention that you receive is of best practice standards. Peter is responsible for the recruitment of, and in house training of the quality solicitor advocates that represent people.

Sonia commenced working at Hartleys Lawyers in 2005, shortly after her admission to practice in November 2004.

Already with a Bachelor of Science degree (majoring in Physiology and Biochemistry) under her belt, Sonia graduated from Monash University with her Bachelor of Laws in 2003. Sonia went on to complete her Graduate Diploma at the Leo Cussen Institute the following year.

Sonia is an experienced advocate and appears regularly at the Federal Circuit Court, Family Court of Australia and Magistrates’ Courts. She is often briefed by the firm’s more junior solicitors in complex family law matters. Sonia recently appeared in an Appeal to the Full Court of the Family Court and a Hague Convention (international child abduction) matter. Sonia has travelled to country and interstate Courts to advocate on behalf of clients including appearances at Courts in Adelaide and Brisbane.

Sonia’s practice focuses primarily on Family Law and Advocacy; however she also practices in Criminal Law, VOCAT and Deceased Estates. Her Family Law practice includes acting as the Independent Children’s Lawyer, all Children’s matters, Property matters (both married and de facto property), Spousal Maintenance and Divorce.

During her legal career, Sonia has volunteered her time to three different Community Legal Centres across Melbourne.

Sonia is currently taking appointments at our Sunshine office.

Sonia Dosanjh

Senior Associate

Nicci was admitted to practice in Victoria in 2007 after completing her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Australian National University in Canberra. Prior to obtaining her Bachelor of Laws from La Trobe University, Nicci also completed a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University.

Nicci has much experience in the legal sector. Starting out as a graduate lawyer at the Department of Finance and Administration in Canberra in 2006, Nicci has also worked as an Associate at both the Magistrates’ Court in Canberra and County Court of Victoria.

Before joining Hartleys Lawyers, Nicci practiced as a Duty Lawyer for Victoria Legal Aid at Frankston, Dandenong, Melbourne and Moorabbin Courts.

Nicci practices in both Criminal Law and Family Law matters (including Children’s matters, Property matters and Intervention Orders). Nicci appears regularly at the Magistrates’ Court and Federal Circuit Court.

Nicci is available for interviews at our Sunshine and Fitzroy offices for privately funded clients.

Nicci Bilinsky

Senior Associate

Sara completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Bachelor of Laws from La Trobe University in 2009. She was admitted to practice in Victoria in 2010 after completing a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Leo Cussen Institute in the same year.

Prior to joining Hartleys Lawyers in December 2011, Sara worked as a solicitor at a firm in rural Bendigo and later a firm in metropolitan Frankston.

Sara is passionate about Family Law and practices predominantly in this area. This includes undertaking work with respect to the following:

  • Children’s matters including recovery orders, relocation applications, residence applications, contact orders and airport watch list orders
  • Property matters
  • Spousal maintenance
  • Divorce
  • Intervention Orders

Sara also practices in the areas of Criminal Law, Wills and Estates, Conveyancing and VOCAT.

Sara appears regularly in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, Family Court of Australia and local Magistrates’ Courts.

Sara undertakes both private and Legal Aid work and is currently available for appointments at our Sunshine and Moonee Ponds offices.

Sara Taylor

Senior Associate

Nicole graduated from La Trobe University in 2010 where she completed her Bachelor of Laws. In addition, Nicole completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics, including an exchange to the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom.

Nicole joined Hartleys Lawyers in 2011 after completing her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Leo Cussen Institute the same year.

Nicole has conducted complex Family Law matters including De facto property jurisdictional matters, urgent Spousal Maintenance applications, International child abduction and complicated Property matters.

Nicole is passionate about Family Law and practices in all areas. Her work includes all Children’s issues, including Parenting orders, Recovery orders and Airport Watch Lists and passport applications, as well as Property matters and Spousal maintenance. Her practice also includes Wills and Estates, Conveyancing and VOCAT matters.

Nicole appears regularly as an advocate at the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia and local and country Magistrates’ Courts.

Nicole undertakes privately funded work and is available for appointments at our Sunshine and Fitzroy offices.

Nicole Bus

Senior Associate

Alexandra brings enthusiasm and passion in practicing law. Alexandra graduated in 2009 from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Criminology and Socio –Legal studies and a Diploma in Music (Practical) majoring in Saxophone. Alexandra went on to complete the Juris Doctor Program with Honours at Monash University. Alexandra completed her one year traineeship at Slater and Gordon before moving on to a small suburban law firm working in general practice.

Alexandra gained a wealth of knowledge over the 3 years she was at the general practice firm finding her niche in family law before making her move to Hartleys Lawyers. In addition to her work and studies Alexandra volunteered at the Western Suburbs Legal Service and Port Phillip Prison visitor assistance program.

Alexandra’s practice now focuses primarily on Family Law matters, although Alexandra still enjoys assisting clients with other legal related matters. Alexandra can speak German fluently.

Alexandra is available for appointments at our Sunshine, Moonee Ponds and Newport offices.

Alexandra Brand

Senior Solicitor

Radu joined the team at Hartleys Lawyers in late 2015 and brings an enthusiasm for law and passion for learning. Radu completed a double degree Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Arts from Deakin University in 2012, and was admitted to practice in August 2013 after completing his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through the Leo Cussen Centre for Law.

Prior to commencing with Hartleys Lawyers in December 2015, Radu initially worked as a solicitor in Melbourne CBD in general practice, with a focus on litigation and commercial matters. He later joined ASIC as part of their Marketing Integrity Enforcement team. In addition to his work and studies, Radu has also had extensive volunteer experience at Victoria Legal Aid, assisting at the Dandenong office for a year and a half.

Radu’s practice now focuses primarily on Family Law and he undertakes both private and Legal Aid work.

Radu is available for appointments at our Sunshine and Moonee Ponds offices.

Radu Catrina

Senior Solicitor

Stephen joined the Hartleys team in 2016, after being admitted to practice in 2015. Stephen completed a double degree Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University in 2014. Shortly after, Stephen completed his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through the Leo Cussen Centre for Law.

Stephen has a passion for social justice and as such has enjoyed various volunteer roles in the community, having volunteered his time at Community Legal Centres in Melbourne as well as interstate. Stephen spent a month working full time with Aboriginal Legal Aid in the Northern Territory.

Stephen’s practice focuses predominantly on Family Law, Wills and Estates, conveyancing and VOCAT.

Stephen is available for appointments at our Sunshine office.

Stephen Thomas

Associate Solicitor

Sussan joined the team at Hartleys Lawyers in December 2016. Prior to this, she completed a double degree of Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Laws at Deakin University. Sussan was admitted to practice in June 2016 after completing her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at The College of Law.

Prior to commencing with Hartleys Lawyers, Sussan practiced as a Solicitor at a suburban law firm working in general practice. Sussan also worked at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court as a Registry Court Officer and has previously volunteered at Brimbank Melton Community Legal Centre and the Victorian Family Law Pathways Network.

Sussan’s practice focuses primarily on Family Law and she undertakes both privately funded and Legal Aid work.

Sussan is available for appointments at our Sunshine and Fitzroy offices.

Sussan Nguyen

Solicitor

Amanda joined the team at Hartleys Lawyers in May 2016 as a Paralegal and has now progressed into a solicitor role. She has a passion for Family Law and enjoys assisting others. Amanda completed a double degree of Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Commerce at Monash University in 2016, has completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through The College of Law and was admitted to practice in October 2016.

Prior to commencing with Hartleys Lawyers Amanda worked as a Paralegal at an immigration law firm. She has also worked as a Workplace relations Advisor and has volunteer experience at both the Springvale Monash Legal Centre and the Monash Oakleigh Legal Service (Family Law Assistance Program).

Amanda appears regularly in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, Family Court of Australia and local Magistrates’ Courts.

Amanda has a vast understanding in Legal aid’s guidelines and her practice focuses primarily on Family Law Legal Aid work. Amanda is available for appointments at our Sunshine and Fitzroy offices.

Amanda Vella

Solicitor

Mario joined the Hartleys Lawyers team in 2017 after being admitted to practice in 2016.

Before completing his Bachelor of Law at La Trobe University in 2015, Mario also completed a Bachelor of Legal Studies also at La Trobe University in 2012. He then went on to complete his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law.

Mario has a passion for social justice and currently volunteers his time at the Darebin Community Legal Centre.

Mario Saoud

Solicitor

Grezah joined Hartleys Lawyers in 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science from University of Santo Tomas and completed her internship at the Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office (PCDSPO) overseas.

Grezah went on to complete the Juris Doctor (JD) program at RMIT University in December 2015. Whilst finishing her JD degree, she volunteered at the Mental Health Legal Centre and assisted in the Inside Access program at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre. She also did an internship at the Court of Appeal of Victoria.

Grezah was admitted to practice in October 2016 after completing her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through Leo Cussen Centre for Law. Grezah had professional training at the Victorian Legal and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) shadowing the Deputy President of the Civil Division.

Grezah Padro

Solicitor

Heather began working at Hartleys Lawyers in 2003 as Receptionist and Personal Assistant. Prior to joining the firm, Heather had a successful career as a pharmacist which allowed her to interact with the local community. Very much a people person, Heather later created the role of VOCAT Clerk which enabled her more client liaison. Heather enjoys her role immensely.

Heather has an impressive knowledge of the VOCAT system and assists the firm’s lawyers with the administration of VOCAT matters. Heather takes appointments with current VOCAT clients once a VOCAT application has been lodged by one of the firm’s solicitors.

Heather works on Tuesdays and Thursdays from our Sunshine office.
